The 39th gathering of Porsche Club of America (PCA) Zone 7 members for a multi-day, multi-region event to celebrate all things Porsche.
Continuing a tradition first hosted in 1972, the Sacramento Valley Region of the 169,000 member Porsche Club of America (the largest single marque car club in the world) provides a venue to socialize with like-minded fans of the Porsche brand. A wonderful way for long time members and newer members to have fun and socialize during one weekend, at one location, hosting a variety of driving and non-driving events.
What does “CRAB” stand for? The “C” stands for crab feed, the “R” stands for rally, the “A” stands for autocross and “B” stands for the German word “begegnen” which means a gathering or meeting.
But those are not the only activities. Driving tours, Funkhana style competitions, concours car showings, tech sessions, vendor displays, treasure hunt and Porsche themed paint n’ sip event compliment the all-you-can-eat crab and lobster dinner and finally, what German themed event would be complete without a beer n’ brats lunch.
Historically CRAB draws 250 to 300 members. This year’s event will be hosted at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino just north of Sacramento with the autocross event just 1.4 miles down the road at the Live Nation Toyota Amphitheatre – providing for all the activities to be close and centrally located. An attractive room rate has been negotiated with the hotel for those that desire to stay on site.
