After several days of threatening weather, a nice sunny day greeted the 25 cars registered for the TURKEY RUN 2025 ROAD RALLY on Saturday, November 15th. Once we finished with the
Safety and Drivers meetings, the cars lined up in order with the first car departing at 9:31:00. The first half of the rally was a standard TSD section with the cars being timed at 10
undisclosed checkpoint locations and ending with a 40 minute break in the little town of Sutter.

Then off to the second half which was a Monte Carlo style rally – one with no assigned speeds but exact location and precise arrival times given for each of the 24 checkpoints. All the cars completed the 105 mile course and arrived at the finish a little after 1:00 PM, ready for lunch a
nd refreshments at the SUTTER CUT PIZZARIA. After the scores were compiled, awards were presented to first, second and third place in the Beginner class -first and second in Novice and to the first place car in the Expert class.
There were a variety of car makes entered including Porsches, several Mazdas, a couple SUVs, a Jeep and a Corvette C7R. Most of the teams were local but we hosted a couple from Nevada and a super Expert from New Jersey who was visiting a friend from India. The total scores ranged from 4 seconds to 1661 seconds, the lower the score the better. Satish Golpakrishnan, from New Jersey, and his friend David Sharon completed the course with a total error score of 4 seconds, including a string of perfect arrival times at 28 checkpoints in arow. A phenomenal performance, but a regular occurrence for rallyist at this level.

This was the last rally in our year-long, five rally series. Awards will soon be resented to the qualifying series leaders in each of the three classes . Watch the regular announcements and
the calendar for the ROAD RALLY events coming next year. They will include an introductory RALLY SCHOOL at the end of March, the rally event during the CRAB weekend in April and
several Saturday rallies starting in May.
We look forward to seeing you next year!
