SVR is evolving! Having passed the midpoint of the year, I am happy to report that the club is making good progress on the key objectives we defined in January.

Objective: Leadership and Operations
Our goal is to improve the way the club operates to increase collaboration and streamline operations. We implemented the Google suite and modified our processes that has resulted in much less duplication, a higher level of organization, and transparency for board members and chairs. I am sure you have seen the improvements to the SVR website, and even this Drifter publication! The board has evolved to include some of our younger members and individuals who have offered new perspectives for the club.

Objective: Charity
SVR has put in place a consistent strategy to our charitable activities that will be consistent, sustainable for years to come, and tied to automotive pursuits. We are now offering tuition assistance for students pursuing careers in automotive mechanics, through scholarships awareded to students at American River College and Sierra College automotive programs. We will be hosting a charity golf tournament to help generate funding for these endeavors. Please keep your eyes out for more information on this special opportunity.

Objective: Events and Participation
By maintaining a focus on our core value and community, we have seen growth in participation and engagement across the spectrum of activities we offer. We have structured targeted events for new groups of Porsche enthusiasts, added technical sessions to the calendar, and grown our rally program.
